IMN denies hurricane alert this week

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) ruled out that the country could be affected by a hurricane, storm or tropical depression this week.

The alert came after social networks shared an image that referred to the high probability of formation of a tropical cyclone.

According to the IMN, a low pressure system is being monitored 500 kilometers from the North Pacific coast.

The system could be strengthened in the next five days, but no direct impact is expected in the country.
