INA delegation to travel to United Arab Emirates remains intact

Almost a month after it was announced that 15 people from the National Apprenticeship Institute (INA) would travel to the United Arab Emirates, there is no change, despite the fact that the delegation was to undergo a revision.

Of that group, only four people are students who will represent the country in the technical Olympics.

The trip has a cost of about 70 million colones, which generated much controversy, mainly after the announcement of President Solís of the lack of liquidity that was affecting Costa Rica.

According to INA Executive President Minor Rodríguez, they are still in the process of reducing the group, which will travel in October this year, although according to the competition rules, the number of people that make up the delegation is good.

the regulation says that for each competitor there must be an expert and an interpreter. The spaces for the competition are very large, so while a boy is competing in robotics, there is another participating in gastronomy at a distance, then they cannot share the same translator,”

said Rodríguez.

In addition to the students, the translator and the expert for each of them, the official delegate, the technical delegate and the team leader will also travel to the foreign country, as they have special tasks that cannot be given to anybody else.

Another aspect they are analyzing is the fact that the packages have already been paid and there is no certainty of reimbursement.
