INCOFER assesses whether train collided still works

The Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles (INCOFER) is assessing the damage to one of the trains against which a truck collided last Friday.

Although the company’s spokeswoman, María Fernanda Arias, initially reported that the users won’t be affected, she later said that they will announce whether there will be a reduction in equipment on Monday.

If the train is not ready, we will notify users in our social networks,”

said Arias.

The accident took place at around 5:10 p.m. in the sector crossing to Pirro, opposite to Autos Pits in Heredia.

It was the second train crash that day, as another one had previously collided in San José downtown near the National Museum.
