Starting on November 21th, INCOFER will extend the service on two of its routes. It is a pilot plan that will increase the number of travels on Río Segundo-Heredia-San José route and on San Antonio de Belén-San José route.
We are going to start providing extended service beyond the rush hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the travels will approximately be every half an hour,
declared María Fernanda Arias, INCOFER spokeswoman.
In addition, on Saturdays, travels from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm will also be offered. The measure is part of a plan to reduce the traffic congestion caused by the closure of the bridge over Virilla River, better known as “La Patina”.
INCOFER is working on the latest adjustments and will publish all the details on November 15th. Authorities ask drivers to double their precautions when crossing the train tracks and to remember that the train also works on Saturdays.
