The peak of respiratory infections that began to increase since October 30th already claimed 59 lives in the country.
Most deaths occurred from December 18th to December 24th. In this period, 12 people died from complications resulting from the virus; one less death than the ones recorded in 2017.
-37 of the 59 deaths had the presence of the AH1N1 virus.
-92% of the victims were not vaccinated.
-91% of them had at least one risk factor.
According to Daniel Salas, Director of Health Surveillance, the peak is already going down and the country is already having a better record with the active research in other laboratories besides Inciensa.
