The Institute for Cooperative Development (INFOCCOP) rejected tthe reasons given by the Governing Council to carry out the intervention of its Board of Directors and take control of the institution.
Through a press release, the entity considered that there are no objective, technical and legal arguments to support an intervention. They reject the administrative management problems that justify this extreme measure.
They reported to have received no official notification from the Government regarding the intervention process. They even point out that the declaration given by the Presidential House has inaccurate data, since, for example, the institution has been respectful and has complied with the provisions provided by the Comptroller’s Office in the DFOE-SD-1054 report, April 04, 2015, where the process of monitoring the 2010 audit is concluded.
Regarding the report of December 2016, the institution assured that it was unanimously accepted within the Board of Directors and at this moment, the entity is developing processes to implement the provisions.
They added that the institution has no debts or financial liabilities, as its assets are over ¢ 120 billion, which is totally free. Regarding the concentration of credits in 20 cooperatives, the officials said that it was totally false, as the current portfolio has more than 150 cooperatives with a total of 325 operations. On the equilibrium rates and risk analysis, they are making proposals to present them to the Comptroller in such a way that the controls can be identified.
Finally, in the case of the anonymous complaints that have been processed in the Public Ministry, they indicated that such complaints have been gradually filed away.
