The Costa Rican Tourism Institute, through its “Vamos a turistear” campaign, made a list of tips that any traveler should know and put into practice:
-Budget: You must organize yourself. Define how much you have available for the holidays. By doing this, you don’t have to use the money aimed to pay debts or other responsibilities.
-Book: With enough days in advance, it gives you the option to compare and choose the one that fits your budget the best.
-Research: make a research on the different attractions that can be found in the tourist area or region to visit.
-Get ready: Make a list with the necessary equipment to avoid having more expenses.
-Your safety: Take all necessary measures to enjoy your leisure time. Be aware and keep track of your belongings and know in advance if there are risks at the place where you are going.
-Signals: If you go to the beach, read the inscription that will give you an idea of what is the behavior of the current.
