The Public Ministry waited almost 45 days for a judge to authorize phone tapping on the brothers Elias and Ziad Akl, as part of an investigation for multiple crimes.
This was revealed by the press office of that entity, which confirms that subjects of Canadian-Lebanese origin were under the magnifying glass of the authorities for some time.

The Akl Brothers were not strangers to any authority. Both the Public Force and the prosecution had repeatedly questioned them.
Ziad Akl (arrested at the airport Juan Santamaría) is the subject of investigations for multiple crimes.
The case is brought by the Deputy Prosecutor against Organized Crime for crimes of attempted murder, kidnap, extortion and violation of residence.
