Korea and Costa Rica strengthened their diplomatic relations

On October 12th, president of the republic Luis Guillermo Solís met president of Korea Park Geun-hye.

The meeting ass part of the activities included in the Asian tour. They also planned to sign several cooperation agreements on the exchange of tax information, health, safety, science and technology.

The president also received an honorary doctorate from Korea University.

During his first day in Korea, Solis held meetings with businessmen and investors, who were encouraged to bring their business operations to Costa Rica. In a press release, the government announced that among those companies there are Donghae Steeltech Corp., Wells Ilshin Co., Inwoo Coporation, Samah, Sangil Oversea Trading, SungPoong Corporation and World Juice.

On October 13th, the president will participate in the opening of the Trade Promotion Office of Costa Rica in Korea, as well as in the celebration of the 54 years of diplomatic relations between both nations.

The president will leave Korea on Friday and will be on national territory in the afternoon.
