Seismologists, earthquake resistant construction engineers, seismological software developers and other scientists from 37 countries will meet in Costa Rica to discuss the latest trends in seismology, during the second assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Seismology Commission.
The event will be held from Monday to Wednesday at the Windham Herradura Hotel, where scientists analyze seismological problems of developing countries.
The mission is to promote seismology in Latin America and the Caribbean, to stimulate research studies, expand scientific cooperation and facilitate young scientists training.
This activity was declared of public interest by decree of the President of the Republic and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications.
