The Bar Association will commemorate the World Environment Day with a donation of 2,000 trees for its members to adopt.
From June 5th to June 7th, seven professionals in laws will be able to choose a tree at the Association’s facilities in Zapote. All the trees that will be donated are specimens of endangered species such as Christóbal, Nazareno, and Savanna oak, among others.
The only requirement to adopt the tree is the membership card. The objective is that within a year each of the projects can be followed up.
Juan León Blanco, president of the Association, said that this year’s goal is to plant a million trees and that’s why they see this a good opportunity to achieve the objective. The Association of Lawyers reported that the donation of trees will be possible thanks to the contribution of the nurseries of the Costa Rican Institute of Electricity (ICE).
