The Legislative Assembly will have to deliver two daily reports to the Ministry of Health as part of the monitoring and control over what happened last week regarding cases of influenza type A.
According to María Inés Solís, president ai of the Congress, staff of the institution was in the Assembly last Friday as well as on Monday, and they agreed to send the reports with personal medical information of the affected people, in the morning and at night.
Although the number of legislators affected by this disease is still the dame, two of those who were in that condition last week, completed their recovery period, but another pair had to be assessed to have this medical permission.
Specifically, the ruling Carolina Hidalgo and Laura Guido are still sick, as well as Zoila Rosa Volio and María José Corrales. Marulin Azofeifa and Wagner Jiménez were discharged.
In addition, 14 officials had to be evaluated in medical services of the Legislative Assembly, therefore, the decision was made to send them home to avoid an outbreak in Congress.
It’s controlled, preventive measures were taken, complying with the protocols, internal communication has been made to all the legislative staff in relation to hand washing, how to cough and sneeze or, if they have any symptom, go to the doctor for the assessment,”
said Solis.
Last week, it was decided not to have a session on Wednesday and Thursday in order to prepare the property for fumigation and exhaustive cleaning.
