Legislator Mario Redondo renounced his immunity after being accused by Carmen Quesada in the Control Commission of Income and Public Expenditure of the Legislative Assembly.
The legislator made the request before the Presidency of the Congress and asked the Public Prosecutor’s Office for a certification that details if there are charges against him.
There is none. I hope Ms. Carmen does the same so I can sue her for libel and slander,
declared Redondo.
Quesada accused Redondo of receiving donations from executive secretary of the National Council of Cooperatives (CONACOOP) Freddy Gonzalez at a time when the commission was meeting in a special audience with representatives from the Institute of Cooperative Development (INFOCOOP).
