The Legislative Assembly endorsed the proposal for the transfer of powers to be held in Plaza de la Democracia on May 8th.
On Wednesday afternoon, 40 legislators unanimously approved a motion for the legislative to be moved to that site for the solemn session of May 8th.
The Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Costa Rica agrees to move the premises of the Legislative Assembly to Plaza de la Democracia, next to the National Museum, to hold the plenary session on May 8th, 2018 at 9:00 p.m.”
states the motion.
In that session, president-elect Carlos Alvarado and vice-presidents Epsy Campbell and Marvin Rodriguez will be sworn in for the constitutional period 2018-2022.
