Liberia’s Daniel Oduber International Airport canceled all domestic flights due to the country’s emergency response to Nate tropical storm.
Cesar Jaramillo, general manager of Coriport concessionaire, said that by decision of the airlines, they reported the cancellation of two international flights, which were coming to Liberia from Atlanta and Houston, in the United States.
Despite this, the airport keeps its operations running, that is, it is not closed and for now there are no flights diverted or delayed.
The recommendation to the passengers is to keep in communication with their respective airlines, to see if there are last minute changes.
On Thursday morning, Aeris concessionaire reported that at the Juan Santamaría Airport 43 flights were affected from Wednesday afternoon until the first hours of Thursday. Twenty of those flights were cancelled, six had to be diverted, mostly to Panama and 17 more were delayed.
