Maduro officials leave Costa Rica

Venezuelan officials from the Nicolás Maduro regime left Costa Rica. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday morning.

The entity confirmed that the diplomatic personnel of the Maduro regime left the country at the expiration of the 60-day period granted by President Carlos Alvarado on February 15th.

The representatives who left the positions are former counsel Nabil Mora, former secretary Angelica María Ramírez and the fomer aggregate Nelly Gliset de la Mata Ovares.

The Foreign Ministry made it clear that these people are no longer recognized as representatives of Venezuela in Costa Rica, so they no longer enjoy immunity or privileges.

Since last February, the Government of Costa Rica has recognized Maria Faría as the ambassador of Venezuela in the country. She was appointed by President Juan Guaidó since January.
