Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said that the attack of a score of men to the military base of Valencia left two dead and eight detainees, one of whom is wounded.
Two were shot down by the fire loyal to the fatherland, and one is wounded. Of these 10 attackers who remained in the Paramacay facilities, nine are civilians and one is a deserter lieutenant,”
said the president in his Sunday television program.
The Venezuelan government insists that this is nothing more than a show orchestrated by the opposition with help from foreign governments. They have also assured that the armed forces of their country are loyal to the president.
