Twenty-three-year-old Diego Eskenazi, dives every so often with his camera to capture the natural treasures that are hidden in the depths of Costa Rican oceans and rivers.
I’ve always been attracted to the sea, especially to animals. Photography is part of my life, every time I want to clear everything I go to the sea because seeing the creation of God is incredible,”
said Eskenazi.
This neighbor of Santa Ana and student of Civil Engineering, is described as an ocean lover from a very young age. However, his passion for photography began when he was 18 years old.
His most recent work, “The Reason Why I Chose Costa Rica”, consists of a compilation of images captured in Nosara, Jacó and Guanacaste between 2015 and 2017.
Despite his young age, Eskenazi says that he has witnessed a lot of impressive events in his travels, among which he emphasized swimming with a whale shark.
It was surprising because we were swimming very close to the coast and from out of nowhere we saw a giant creature in front of us and it stayed with us for a long time,”
said Eskenazi.
Diego plans to continue this hobby for the rest of his life and does not rule out the possibility of a career in photography that allows him to continue capturing images with which he can show Costa Ricans that they don’t need to leave the country to get to paradise.
