A Colombian man, naturalized Costa Rican, was arrested on Thursday afternoon on suspicion of operating a pension for prostituting women.
The man, 55, had used a building near the Supreme Court of San José for several women to provide sexual services. In return, the subject apparently had a profit.
As confirmed by the press office of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), at the time of the raid at the establishment there were several women, who were not arrested.
Police officers were searching for more evidence linking the suspect to the crime of pimping.
The foreigner, whose identity was not revealed, was referred to the Public Prosecutor.
