The Golfito Marin Village a & Resort will hire 400 people and will generate 800 indirect jobs in the region.
Studies conducted by tourism authorities estimate that new marinas in Golfito are going to be an opportunity to improve the inhabitants’ quality of life as these projects will promote the place as a destination for yachts, sport fishing and ecotourism activities.
It is intended that agriculture and livestock activities are benefited by the increasing of the gastronomic demand that should be generated by the project. On the other hand, the new wave of tourists has stimulated the purchasing of new and more modern boats that allow faster transportation and a price adjustment for the service provided.
It is expected that this kind of projects improves the socioeconomic status of the area.
