Mario Redondo, legislator from the Christian Democratic Alliance (ADC), said on Monday that he will be helping the presidential candidate of National Restoration, Fabricio Alvarado, ahead of the second round of elections.
If there is an option to support the campaign, I will support someone who I appreciate and love very much, and who is my friend, and that is Fabricio Alvarado,”
said Redondo.
He indicated that he had previously told Alvarado that if he went to the second round, he would have his backing.
I think he is a capable man, a good man with the aptitudes to make a government of national unity, to help us get this country afloat. The candidate who can consolidate that national agreement is Fabricio and I want to help in that direction,”
explained Redondo.
When asked if he would accept being Minister of the Presidency, he replied:
I do not know where he wants me to help him, but if he wants me to help him, I’ll be there.”
Redondo regretted that his group has been left without legislative representation for the next constitutional period and announced that they will begin a reorganization of the Christian Democratic Alliance.
