Massive absence prevented legislative session

The massive absence of legislators prevented the legislative plenary session from taking place on Monday afternoon.

A total of 21 lawmakers were absent, which is why it was not possible to set the minimum quorum for the session (38 legislators).

Some of the legislators who were absent were: Marvin Atencio, Epsy Campbell, Laura Garro and Victor Hugo Morales, from the Citizen Action Party (PAC).

Also, Marta Arauz, Michael Arce, Olivier Jiménez, Juan Marín, Karla Garments, Paulina Ramírez, Julio Rojas and Silvia Sánchez, from the National Liberation Party (PLN).

Rafael Ortiz, Rosibel Ramos and Humberto Vargas, from the PUSC were also abset, aswell as Óscar López, from the Party of Accessibility without Exclusion (PASE), and the independent Carlos Hernández.

The legislative plenary had to vote on a motion to extend the deadline for the Special Commission of Pension Schemes to dictate the bill to reform pensions of the Judiciary.
