If San José seems a little boring or you just want to discover it again, better cancel your appointments on Saturday. An “urban rally” aims for people to learn more about the history of the country while having fun and getting to know the capital.

We want people to know more about the city and its history while doing fun activities in a competitive environment. They can walk or use bicycles, the idea is that participants go all over San José and know places that they may not always visit,”

said Pauline Chiroe, spokeswoman for the Center for Urban Sustainability.

During the rally, participants must answer a series of questions and complete challenges in a span of three hours. The winners will receive prizes ranging from 1 month of free yoga to a day tour in Corcovado.

The 2015 edition of the event was a success: A total of 24 teams for a total of 70 people participated.

To participate, interested parties should register in groups of 3 to 5 people, using a form available on Facebook. Registration is free, but must be done before Friday.

The activity will start this Saturday at 9 a.m., in front of Steinvorth building, located 150 meters north of the back of the Metropolitan Cathedral in San José.
