The Ministry of Public Education (MEP) seeks to free educational centers from all forms of discrimination and violence, to guarantee healthy coexistence between different sectors of the population, regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation or social class.
Sonia Marta Mora, Minister of Education, said that the MEP has embarked on a strong battle to break the existing prejudices and break with any kind of social gap in the country’s classrooms.

Mora also ensured that schools were intervened to avoid discrimination based on sexual orientation.

Last year, the MEP responded to 227 complaints of physical, verbal or sexual aggression, 79% of which were in public schools.
