Mexico will discuss the mass deportation of undocumented workers with Trump’s team

November 15, 2016 by Staff News Writer

At a press conference, Mexican spokesman Eduardo Sánchez explained that Mexico is aware of the number of mexicans who could be deported by Trump, who said in a television interview that when he takes office he will begin deporting or imprisoning up to 3 million undocumented Mexican citizens with criminal records.

This and other issues will be part of the agenda that Mexico will put on the table in the bilateral meetings that will be held with the government of elected President Donald Trump,”

expressed Sánchez.

On Trump’s assertions of the need for a wall in certain areas of the common border, the Mexican spokesman reiterated the position of the Mexican government, which refuses to pay for the construction as demanded by the Republican during his campaign.

The Mexican Foreign Ministry will begin a campaign through its consulates in the United States to give “information” and “protection” to Mexicans citizens living in USA.

Mexico remains alert to the possible consequences of Trump’s presidency on the free trade agreement between the countries and the rights of the Mexican migrants.
