“Mi cuento Fantástico” comes once more to give children the chance to use their imagination.
This is a contest in which children write their own stories about any topic. This is the fifth edition and 34,000 students have participated with the guidance of their teachers and other experts.
It is a great way to encourage reading and writing in the classroom,
said Miguel Gutiérrez, deputy minister of Planning and Coordination from the Ministry of Public Education (MEP).
Students from third to sixth grade can participate. They need a teacher’s help to guide their writing process.
Teachers must choose the 2 best stories to participate. Their last chance to be part of this experience is September, 1st.
There will be 12 winners along with their teachers. Prizes will be computers, tablets, book collections and even purchase orders in some stores.
Those who want to apply can do it through www.ada.or.cr/concurso.
