During the presentation of the pilot plan for dual education to be implemented in the school year 2017, minister of Foreign Affairs Manuel González took the opportunity to defend president Luis Guillermo Solís’ trips.
The Chancellor stressed that the implementation of this program is thanks to the agreements reached between the president with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in June 2015.
I want to highlight that the constant criticism is very unfair. Here we have concrete evidence that these trips are working; we are sowing projects, which in the times of governments, diplomacy and relations of States do not grow immediately,
declared González.
During his presidency, President Solís has made 33 tours abroad.
This educational system will be tested next year in four technical schools in the country, with at least 80 students in the automotive specialization: besides being in the classroom, they will work in companies to help them prepare for the labor world.
