The minister of Labor and Social Security asks to investigate the vice minister for controversial party

Carlos Alvarado, minister of Labor and Social Security, requested a detailed report from vice minister Harold Villegas about his participation in a party held on November 25th at the Cooperative Building, in San Pedro.

The vice minister will have to explain the situation and why he allowed the party to continue despite the objections of the security company for the consumption of alcohol in public facilities.

The security company reported abuse of liquor and excessive volume of music. According to La Nación newspaper, the musicians were drunk and, outside the building, a man and a woman were smoking marijuana. It is also told that official Harold Villegas was “very cheerful and a little dizzy”.

The emergency decree signed by president Luis Guillermo Solís on November 24th ordered to suspend all government activities due to the emergency of Hurricane Otto.

Consulted on the issue, vice minister Villegas didn’t say a word.
