Ministry of Health and municipal police in San Jose are preparing to launch an operation to seize the goods of street food sellers, as they constitute a risk to public health. According to Dr. Ileana Herrera, Directorate General of the Ministry of Health, examples include food such as tamales, empanadas, fish, and homemade breads, which are prepare in dubious conditions.
