National short films will be part of the Shnit Film Festival

Once again, San Jose will hold the Shnit Film Festival, one of the most important short films festival in the world. For this edition, 15 Costa Rican shortfilms will be part of the “Made in Costa Rica” competition.

For this national competition, 95 productions were received, out of which 15 finalists will compete to receive the prize from the jury and the national public.

The competition will be presented just twice: on October 6th and October 7th (Thursday and Friday), at 8:30 pm at Cine Magaly.

This year, Shnit Festival includes a selection of 60 short films produced in 30 countries; these films were selected among 100.000 submissions.

Buenos Aires (Argentina), Bern (Switzerland), Cairo (Egypt), Cape Town (South Africa), Moscow (Russia), Tokyo (Japan) and Bangkok (Thailand), in addition to San José, are the cities that submitted the sample film simultaneously. It is the sixth year in which Costa Rica is hosting the festival.

Tickets for “Made in Costa Rica” and the festival will be on sale in: Arenas Los Yoses Stores, East and Escazú Multiplaza, as well as in Dele Focus (Barrio Escalante) and Cine Magaly.
