New app to create homes more environmentally-friendly homes

Households will now have the possibility of identifying if their actions are sustainable and friendly to the environment through a platform specialized in registering, free of charge and simply, the environmental indicators of households.

The initiative Hogar Azul was created by the software company specializing in sustainability Susty. According to Julian Trussart, CEO of Susty, the web application is designed to help people systematically keep records of variables such as: water consumption, electricity consumption, traditional waste generation, recyclable waste management, as well as good practices to reduce the ecological footprint.

We believe that to generate a real impact, sustainability has to be in the hands of people and that it has to reach small businesses, schools, municipalities, but also homes,”

said Trussart.

This web application is closely aligned with the Sustainable Homes category of the Ecological Blue Flag program.

Susty’s vision to develop Hogar Azul is to democratize sustainability, meaning that any large or small company can have access to tools that allow them to measure, manage and report sustainability independently, easily and quickly, at an affordable cost.”

said Trussart.

Although the app is not exclusive of the Ecological Blue Flag program, it has the endorsement of the national committee of the program, and considers all the variables requested to participate for the award in the category Sustainable Homes.

The web application is available at the electronic address www.hogarazul.susty.org. If users register before April 30th, they are automatically enrolled in the Sustainable Homes program, and so they can opt for the award.
