The Minister of the Interior and Police, Michael Soto, appointed the new director of Migration and Immigration: Raquel Vargas Jaubert, 34, who is a lawyer graduated from the University of Costa Rica (UCR).
For 10 years she has been working in Migration and Immigration, she has worked as a legal advisor in the General Directorate and head of the Restricted Visa Unit.
The new director of Migration was also the national coordinator for movements of migrants in the process of Cuban citizens and extra-continental citizens.
