Nile Crocodiles go to Florida

May 24, 2016 by Staff News Writer

At least 3 Nile crocodiles have reached the waters of Florida in the United States.

According to DNA samples, 3 specimens of these reptiles swim in the swamps of South Florida.

The Nile crocodiles are famous for devouring humans. It is estimated that only in sub – Saharan Africa they eat about 200 people a year.

The authorities know these animals didn’t reach Florida swimming. One of the hypothesis is that they used to be somebody’s pet before escaping.
