Poás Volcano National Park will be open from 8a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and you can get there using public transport from 9 a.m. from downtown Alajuela.
During the visit to the park you can also discover the new trails to Botos Lagoon, which opened a few days ago.
These trails allow visitors to see the cloud forest and see a variety of plants of different species until they reach the lagoon, which is an ancient crater, 14 meters deep and 400 meters in diameter with clear and cold waters.
Please note that ticket prices are ¢ 1,000 for national adults and ¢ 500 for children (2-12 years). Foreigner must pay $15 and $5, respectively.
