Turrialba Volcano received the month with an important eruption from midnight until Monday morning.
The report from the National Seismological Network (RSN) indicates the volcano became active on Sunday at 10:00 p.m.
It lasted until 06:30 am on Monday, with an eruptive column that rises up to 400 m above the active crater. This column is dispersed towards the Northeast,”
informed Mauricio Mora.
The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI- UNA) reported that the column rose 500 meters above the crater and 3,840 meters above sea level.
