There have been countless occasions when very photogenic, Costa Rican sloths get all the attention in prestigious international media.

This time an image of these animals was highlighted as the photo of the day by National Geographic in its Spanish version.

The photograph was published on Sunday through NatGeo’s social networks.

According to the description, the photograph was captured by the Seaphotoart site and provided to National Geographic.

In July this year, the English version of the magazine published several photographs taken by the conservationist Sam Trull, who came to the country to work with sloth conservation programs.

My main motivation was to educate people about sloths, because there is a lot of misinformation. I’ve heard some of the craziest things, like sloths do not get stressed. That’s not true. Maybe that’s why this animals do not get much respect,”

said Trull, at that time.
