Almost two years after the official launch of Costa Rica’s brand “Esencial Costa Rica”, only 7 micro-enterprises have achieved this certification.
The amount is quite low when compared to the 36 large businesses that already have permission to use the brand in their products.
The 7 micro-enterprises are:
1. Toribio: it is a Costa Rican trademark created in March, 2014 by Oscar Hernández, an agronomist who started working on the fashion industry.
2. Doctor Chacón Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva: it was created 16 years ago by doctor Manuel Chacón. The clinic is focused on globalization and it combines the best specialists and innovative technology.
3. Healing house: it is a company dedicated to improve the well-being and health of the world.
4. Ker Laboratorios: it produces drugs with cosmetic purposes and it is owned by Dr. Álvaro Apestegui.
5. Integral Skin Clinic: it is a medical company dedicated to the skin, facial and body health.
6. Bioadvance Centroamérica S.A: it is a Costa Rican company focused on selling diagnostics resources for Veterinary Laboratories, Materials for Livestock Industry and tracking system.
7. La Productora S.A: it is devoted to generating audiovisual content within the communication sector.
