The protest has been organized by the Employees’ Union (SINDEU) and the Students’ Federation (FEUCR) of University of Costa Rica (UCR). They are requesting that the case of chancellor Henning Jensen does not remain unpunished by the University Council.

The decision of the University Council to file the report on the actions of UCR chancellor, following the appointment of his own daughter at the Children’s Center Laboratory (CIL) is the reason behind the protest.
