Most of the legislative group of the ruling Partido Acción Ciudadana (PAC) agreed on Monday to support the candidacy of legislator Ottón Solís for the presidency of the Legislative Assembly from next May 1st.
This was reported by the leader of the faction, Franklin Corella, who indicated that the decision was taken in the ordinary foreclosure this Monday.
The fraction also decided to appoint Javier Cambronero as new chief Congressman and Marlene Madrigal as legislator.
Solís said he appreciates the support of the group and that he hopes to have the votes of other political groups to preside over the Congress in the last term.
The National Liberation Party (PLN) has also elected legislator Karla Prendas as the new bench leader and legislator Olivier Jiménez as party head.
