The head of the National Liberation Party (PLN), Maureen Clarke, fled a complaint to the Office of the Public Ethics for the appointment of the former deputy minister of housing, Ana Cristina Trejos, in the Mortgage Housing Bank (Banhvi).
According to the legislator, that designation could violate the principle of probity and there may be fraud.
Ms. Trejos was named, on an unknown date, as unpaid adviser to the Deputy Minister of Youth to comply with the principle of young people representation, but not following the law. We must remember that Mrs. Trejos, to February 29th, was still Deputy Minister of Housing and did not participate in the internal processes to be a member of the Council of the Youth, nor does she formally represent them,”
said the liberationist Karla Prendas.
Prendas added that it is an obvious and shameless action from the PAC to provide a way for Trejos to repay the extra salaries and incentives she received as Deputy Minister of Housing, in detriment of the representation of young people.
