Photographs and videos show that Poás and Turrialba volcanoes, in Alajuela and Turrialba, Cartago, have a constant activity.

Guillermo Alvarado, volcanologist from the CNE said that one of the most important eruptions from Turrialba Volcano occurred last Friday. The plume reached two kilometers above the crater.
In addition, Alvarado reported that Poás continuously emanates ash and volcanic fog.
