Officers of the Public Force of Cartago, with the support of the Loyola neighborhood community, managed to transform a lot used as a garbage dump into a cinema.
The initiative was part of the #TrashChallenge challenge and in less than 4 hours the lot went from being an unpleasant place to an outdoor movie theater.
After the intervention, the police called at least 100 neighbors to enjoy a movie; who organized themselves to have popcorn and music.
The regional director of Cartago, Erick Calderón, explained that this type of actions are promoted throughout the province and for the Police it is extremely important that the community be involved in the creation of safe spaces.
