President Solís wants Limón to be full of tourists

August 31, 2016 by Staff News Writer

South Caribbean Costa Rica is a tourist destination preferred by foreigners and national tourists, but the President wants Limón to become an important spot for Costa Rican tourism.

The challenge in the Atlantic is to make the tourism growth compatible with the sustainable development of this region,

said President Solís.

To achieve that, is in necessary to build hotels, as well as an international airport that should be located within the province. The Concession Council is already performing the analysis to work on this project.

The extension of Route 32 could begin in the second half of next year, which would be a key point in the development of tourism that is intended for the province of Limón. That project is awaiting the environmental impact study.
