President will tour three cities in the US in search of investment

Carlos Alvarado will take a tour in several cities in the United States in search of investments. He had planned this tour since September last year; however, he had to postpone it following the strike of public employees against the tax plan.

Alvarado will leave on March 10th. At the moment, the Presidency does not confirm the order of his itinerary, but said he will visit Seattle, San Francisco and the Silicon Valley area.

The tour will serve to promote the country as a focus of companies in areas such as digital technologies, corporate services and technological manufacturing, said the Minister of Communication, Nancy Marín.

Alvarado will also present his administration’s decarbonization plan at Stanford University in California and hold a meeting with coffee importers. The president will be accompanied by the Ministers of Commerce (Comex) and Science and Technology; Dyala Jiménez and Luis Adrián Salazar, respectively. The director of Investment of the Comex, Gabriela Castro, and the general manager of the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives (Cinde), Jorge Sequeira, will also go with him.

The delegation will return on March 15th.
