The body of a man who drowned on Tuesday afternoon was extracted by the authorities; although it was preliminarily reported that the body would not be recovered until today because of the difficult weather and the terrain.
Alonso Carballo died on an aquatic accident in the Aquíares Falls in Turrialba. The man worked as an official of the presidential guard and, apparently, he was climbing when he fell into a pool.
According to Johanna Sánchez, from the Red Cross Communications Center, the report indicates that the 41-year-old was climbing and lost his balance, slipped and fell to his death.
