Prosecutor accepts error in process that resulted in award for Jonathan Mauri

The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) accepted that a “material error” was made, which in the long run facilitated the delivery of the Claudia Poll sports prize for more than ¢200 million to swimmer Jonathan Mauri, brother of the former minister of Sports, Carolina Mauri.

The “material error” consisted in a mistake regarding the name of the dependency where the appeal had to be processed, after the Administrative Contentious Court had condemned the State to pay the prize.

CRHoy.com reported on the mistakes made by the Attorney General, in the defense of the State in the case. The Contentious Administrative Court questioned him for using “mere assessments” and also filed an appeal in an inadequate manner, before the wrong instance.
