Protesters in Limón set fire to barricades near RECOPE entrance

On Tuesday night, a group of people set fire to barricades near the entrance of RECOPE facilities in Moín, Limón, to protest against the new fiscal project.

As seen in a video, two units of the Fire Department went to the place, where they were confronted by the demonstrators, who indicated “it was a controlled fire” and prevented them from entering.

Attempts were made to contact Michael Soto, Minister of Public Security and the press office of the entity, but the press did not receive a response.

The Communications Office of the Fire Department indicated that they went to the site in the first place because of an alleged gas leak inside RECOPE and there the barricades were found with fire. They indicated that both situations were under control.
