Public Force seized firearms, cash, marijuana and 2,000 doses of crack

Law enforcement officials seized several firearms, marijuana bombs and more than 2000 crack doses yesterday morning in Santa Rica neighborhood, known as El Infiernillo, in the San José district of the central canton of Alajuela.

During the raid, officers of the Public Force integrated into the Operational Support Group (GAO), seized 2060 doses of crack, 250 grams of marijuana and 40 grams of cocaine.

In addition, they seized a shotgun, a pistol and a revolver, as well as chargers and bullets. Although the operation did not result in arrests, the police gathered reports that would lead to subjects at any moment.

The large confiscation was confirmed by the regional director of the Public Force, Commissioner Randall Picado Jiménez.

On Tuesday morning, motorists of the local Public Force who patrolled in a place known as Las Gradas de Pueblo Nuevo, near El infiernillo, also carried out another police action.

In that place, the police agents surprised a subject named Zúñiga and verified their suspicions; the man carried 106 doses of crack and six of marijuana.
