On Tuesday, the main entry and exit routes in Puntareanas were blocked by a group of fishermen from the region.
The demonstration called by fishermen from the longline fishing sector started early in the morning and caused a serious impact on traffic.
According to José Luis Jiménez, Regional Traffic Director in Puntarenas, there were blockades on Route 1, as well as routes 27 and 23. In addition, there was no transit through Barranca, Esparza, Cambronero, Guanacaste and Quepos.
