X-ray studies, ultrasound, mammography and CT scans that are made in San Vicente de Paul Hospital in Heredia, will now be digitalized.
This project aims to protect radiographs and issue more accurate and precise diagnoses, as well as to determine the most appropiate treatment for patients.
The project is installed throughout the hospital so that emergency specialists, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology specialists can access their patients’ images through internet.
According to authorities, it also allows to use the space where files were located for other purposes, such as placing an angiography.
This system allowed the interconnection between San Vicente de Paul Hospital and the Health Area of San Rafael of Heredia and now, patients don’t have to travel to the hospital to get their results because doctors in the health area will be able to see the results from their workplace.
